RESEARCH INTERESTS AND CURRENT RESEARCH WORKS
Fluid dynamics;
Hyperbolic conservation laws; Stability of
nonlinear waves.
We have done some research on mathematical theories on a kind of hyperbolic-elliptic coupled partial differential equations describing dynamics of gas in presence of radiation and related models, whose typical natures are twofold: on one hand, much weaker dissipation result in loss of regularity, which make solutions exhibit quite complicated phenomenon. On the other hand, the kinds of equations are a hyperbolic-elliptic coupled system.
Currently, we are working some research on the stability of the vortex sheets of inviscid flow models.
