RESEARCH INTERESTS AND CURRENT RESEARCH WORKS:
Spectral methods: algorithms, analysis and applications.
We have done some research on various aspects of the Prolate Spheroidal Wave function(PSWFs). We constructed and analyzed PSWF based spectral and spectral-element methods for solving partial differential equations (PDEs). We introducednew generalizations of the PSWFs, and developed the corresponding spectral methods. We also proposed and analyzed a p-type interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin (
p-IPDG) method for the Helmholtz equation with high wave number relative to time-harmonic acoustic scattering.
Currently, we are doing some research on a new well conditioned collocation method using PSWFs.
