Algebraic cycles on 3-dimensional Calabi-Yau varieties

Abstract: 3-dimensional Calabi-Yau varieties are objects that play a central role in string theory, and they have been studied intensively by algebraic geometers. In this talk, we will discuss some problems and conjectures about algebraic cycles on such varieties. All terms will be defined in the talk.
