The refined Broué conjecture for special and general linear groups

Abstract:A refined version of Broué’s abelian defect group conjecture by Kessar and Linckelmann claims that for an arbitrary complete discrete valuation ring O, and any block b of a finite group G over O with an abelian defect group, there is a splendid Rickard equivalence between OGb and it Brauer correspondent. In this talk, we show that the refined Broué conjecture holds for finite special and general linear groups SL(n,q) and GL(n,q) in their defining characteristic, and holds for unipotent blocks of GL(n,q) in non-defining characteristic. This is joint work with Pengcheng Li and Jiping Zhang.
